CASE STUDY II

Intellectual Property infringement has always been an important issue to companies. With many pirated software available outside, it is hard not to feel tempted to buy them instead of the original ones. The reason is simple; cost-saving.

One of customers based in East Coast faced a possible lawsuit due to this matter. This could cause them serious consequences and damages. The service provider at the time did not provide satisfactory services such as:

Wrongful Solutions
Lack of Service Level Commitment
Lack of Proper Handling
Unable to Provide a Contingency Plan for Critical Situations

Another trouble was someone sabotaged them by taking off the license stickers off the original software.

We took over the situation by flying to the site immediately. We conducted software audit, license verification, and a contingency plan. We removed software whose license were stolen. We restored back original software and worked out the inventory plan. Our customer gave us the permission to carry back all the software licenses for auditory purposes. They also trusted us to do necessary steps even when it meant of exposure to important and confidential data.
